What’s Happens During the Re-roofing Process?

We know this is a major expense – so we want to offer an overview of our re-roofing process so you have an idea of what to expect even before we get together.

Make Appointment for Estimate:

You can either give us a call or submit an online request for an estimate. One of our team members will then contact you and schedule a time to come out to your home or business.

Survey and Estimate:

We will come to your home or business at the designated time to survey, measure, and inspect the roof. We are looking for potential problems including:

  • Stains
  • Signs of rot
  • Damage to the flashing and shingles
  • Any other components related to the roof

We’ll also ask basic questions such as:

  • Is the roof leaking?
  • How long has it been leaking?
  • Does water enter the building when it rains?

We will then prepare the re-roofing estimate and present it to you in a timely manner.

Project Proposal:

Upon approval of the estimate, the next step of the re-roofing process is to prepare a proposal for the project. The proposal is comprehensive and will include details of what was found, photographs, and work recommendations. The scope of work will be described along with the materials that will be used, what warranties are included, and the cost.

Scheduling is done after you approve and sign the proposal.

Initial Phase – Preparation:

Before the re-roofing can begin, our experienced and licensed technicians prepare the building and surrounding property so it will be protected. The old roofing material is then removed. At this point, when it is required, there will be an inspection from the area Building Department.

Installation:

Next, the roof surface is prepared, and the new roof system is installed. Our team works to ensure that this part of the process goes seamlessly and causes a minimal amount of disruption to you. During this stage, as well as all the others, we welcome your questions and will take the time to discuss any concerns you may have. We will clean the site and remove all the debris is removed after the installation is complete,

Final Inspection:

Tallahassee Roofing, Inc., will conduct a final inspection. This is one of the most essential parts of the re-roofing process. We will ensure that everything has been done according to the proposal, and that you are completely satisfied.

From beginning to end, any questions you have will be discussed and answered. We will talk to you about warranties, maintenance tips, and other details. We will also schedule any required Building Department final inspections.
